STORAGE TIPS
At Two A Self Storage we want you to have the best storage experience possible. With that in mind we put together a list of storage Do's and Don'ts.
DO
- Store items on pallets or shelves to allow for proper airflow
- Use all of the space in your unit but try to leave an aisle in the center for access to the back
- Label all of your boxes and plastic totes
- Store your most frequently used items near the front
- To protect your items cover them with sheets or moving pads
- Check on your stored items once a month
- Disassemble the big items like tables or bed frames to make more space
- Make sure your appliances are clean and dry before storage
- Store mattresses and box springs on their sides, raise them a bit, and cover them
- Purchase insurance or contact your current insurance company for coverage
- Plastic tote bins are an excellent way to keep your property stackable and organized
DON'TS
- Do not store food, perishables, or any type of pet food
- Do not store paint, solvents, gasoline, oil, aerosols, or propane tanks
- Do not store hazardous, toxic, flammable, or combustible items
- Do not store ammunition or fireworks
- Do not store gas grills
- Do not store anything illegal
- Living, inhabiting, or loitering in or around the storage units is strictly forbidden
- Do not store sensitive electronics or antiques since the units are not temperature or humidity controlled
